Describe the importance of the cell cycle ?

Biology
1 answer:
egoroff_w [7]3 years ago

Explanation:

The way the Cell cycle works helps us keep us alive as long as usually do. An example is when you bite your cheek, you may kill some cells by it but your alive cells will replace them by creating more. Now without the cell cycle here's what would happen, You bite your cheek and your cells die forever causing your mouth to be dryer, weaker and to lack enzymes ( enzymes help brake down your food and ready it to go threw your digestive system ) So imagine every time you get hurt and your cells just keep dying without being reborn that's like as if everyone stopped creating children eventually the human race would end, If the cell cycle does not do its job eventually you will get weak and die. that's why the Cell Cycle is important to any living things well being especially if its Multicellular.

Explain how the shape of a protein molecules can affect its function
kherson [118]

Solution:

The function of a protein is determined by its shape.

The shape of a protein is determined by its primary structure (sequence of amino acids).

The sequence of amino acids in a protein is determined by the sequence of nucleotides in the gene (DNA) encoding it.

Paramecium was found to occupy 20% of the FOV of a microscope at 40X magnification power. How many paramecium can be accommodate
lana [24]

5 Paramecium could be accommodated in this FOV.

Explanation:

FOV refers to the field of view of the microscope.

It is the maximum length or area of specimen you can observe in a single view.

If a single paramecium occupies 20 % of the Entire FOV.

Then the number of paramecium that will be accomodate 100% of FOV will be given by ,

\frac{100}{20} = 5 Paramecium.

which is equal to 5.

Complete the sentence: Ecosystem distribution
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

<em>Hypotheses may vary. Most students will probably state that ecosystems at </em>

<em>high altitudes will support little vegetation. </em>

Explanation:

Ecosystem distribution is different at different places. Regions at high elevations might usually have low varieties of plants and animals but it cannot be true for every ecosystem located as higher altitudes.

Some communities might be well adapted to live in the cold and hence progress rapidly.

Trava [24]

Answer:

Nitrogenous bases contain the genetic information, their amount is variable among different species, and the arrangement of these bases is also variable among different species

Explanation:

Both Watson-Crick and Pauling's DNA models considered that DNA nitrogenous bases (i.e., Adenine, Cytosine, Thymine and Guanine) contain the genetic information that determines the characteristics of living organisms. Moreover, both DNA models also considered that nitrogenous base composition varies between species, as well as the arrangement of these bases in the DNA chain also varies between species. Based on these features, Linus Pauling considered that a model where nitrogenous bases would be arranged on the outside of the DNA molecule would be easier for the DNA molecule to be replicated, transcribed, or repaired. Although incorrect, Pauling's DNA triple helix model was fundamental to develop the helical (double-stranded) structure of DNA, which was finally discovered by Watson and Crick in 1953.
