Minke whales (pronounced mink-ey), are one of the smallest baleen whales in North American waters and are the smallest of the “rorqual” whales. The rorqual whales or “great whale” family include blue whale, fin whale, Bryde's whale, sei whale, and humpback whale.

Humpback whales can be distinguished by their small dorsal fin and long pectoral flippers, and they show their tail flukes more often. Blue whales are the biggest. They are actually grey, but appear aqua under water.

a man has just learned that he has a blockage in one of his arteries. which of the statements is true regarding this blockage? p
Alik [6]

This blockage will likely increase the resistance to flow in his circulatory system, and as a result will decrease the rate of blood flow.

Blood vessels in the circulatory system transport blood away from and towards the heart. Arteries transport blood away from the heart, while veins transport blood back to the heart. The circulatory system transports oxygen, nutrients, and hormones to cells while also removing waste products such as carbon dioxide.

Vascular disease (vasculopathy) affects the blood vessels that transport oxygen and nutrients throughout your body and remove waste. Plaque (made of fat and cholesterol) slows or blocks blood flow inside your arteries or veins, causing common vascular problems. When there is too much cholesterol in the blood, the cholesterol and other substances can combine to form deposits (plaques) on the artery walls. Plaques can cause an artery to narrow or become blocked.

How would altering the ph of an ecosystem affect the organisms that live there? Relate to enzyme function.
vivado [14]

Answer:

pH: Each enzyme has an optimum pH range. Changing the pH outside of this range will slow enzyme activity. Extreme pH values can cause enzymes to denature. Enzyme concentration: Increasing enzyme concentration will speed up the reaction, as long as there is substrate available to bind to.

Hope this helps and if this is wrong sorry!!!
