Answer:   The slopes of two parallel lines are equal.

Step-by-step explanation: Let m_{1} and m_{2} be the slopes of lines AB and MN respectively. We know that if the slopes of two parallel lines are equal, then the lines must be parallel. Thus, if we get           m_{1}=m_{2} , then AB is parallel to MN. Also, if we already have M and N as the mid-points of AC and BC, the with the help of slopes of AB and MN, we arrive at our proof that MN is the mid-segment of Triangle ABC. Please see the figure for details.

Mid-segment and bottom side of the triangle is always parallel to each other, and parallel lines must have same slopes, so if their slopes are equal, then MN would be mid-segment of side AB in Triangle ABC

Hope this helps!

Find the two points on segment AB that divide the segment into 3 congruent Parts if A has coordinates (0 0) and point B has coor
Elena L [17]

Answer:

  (3, 2), (6, 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since one end (A) of the segment AB is at the origin, the required points will be 1/3 and 2/3 of the coordinates of B:

  (1/3)(9, 6) = (3, 2)

  (2/3)(9, 6) = (6, 4)

The perimeter of a rectangle is 19 centimeters. Its length is 6 centimeters. What is its width?
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

3.5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (w + h)

w = width

h = height

We have: 2 x (w + 6) = 19

w + 6 = 19 : 2 = 9.5

w = 9.5 - 6 = 3.5 (cm)

Solve quickly please.
lys-0071 [83]

Find the change between the first two sets:

12-9 = 3

14.4 - 10.8 = 3.6

3.6/3 = 1.2

Now find the change between the last two sets:

12 - -3 = 15

14.4 - 3.6 = 10.8

10.8/15 = 0.72

1.2 does not equal 0.72 so the answer is No
