Write an expression to model the perimeter of the rectangle. Length is x-9 and width is 3x-4. Part b The perimeter of the rectan
koban [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the perimeter of something, we add all of the measurements of the sides together.

A rectangle has 4 sides, this means we must double the algebraic hints given to us.

If we add them all up together it will look like this:

x-9+x-9+3x-4+3x-4=138

If we simplify it by collecting the like terms:

8x-26=138

We add 26 onto 138

8x=164

To find out what x equals, we divide by 8:

164÷8= 20.5

Answer:

x=20.5cm

x-9 is 11.5

3x-4 is 57.5

I know that you will not give 100 points but just wanted to help.

Tobias dropped a tennis ball from a height of 60 meters. The time in seconds it takes for the ball to fall is 60 feet is 0.25 √6
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:-1)The three sets of approximation of time will be

Time taken to fall tennis ball from height of 60 m =35.41014 s ≈35.410 s (to the nearest thousandth)

≈35.41s  (to the nearest hundredth)

≈35.5 seconds(to the nearest tenth)

2)Time by the ball to hit the ground =35.5 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

Time taken to fall tennis ball from height of 60 feet =  0.25 √60 s

So,time taken to fall tennis ball from height of 1 foot =0.25√60 divided by 60=\frac{0.25\sqrt{60} }{60}s

We know that 1 m = 0.3048 foot

⇒60 m =60×0.3048=18.288 feet

therefore, Time taken to fall tennis ball from height of 60 m = 18.288 ×time taken to fall tennis ball from height of 1 foot=\frac{0.25\sqrt{60} }{60}\cdot18.288=35.41014\ s

∴Time taken to fall tennis ball from height of 60 m =35.41014 s ≈35.410 s (to the nearest thousandth)

≈35.41s  (to the nearest hundredth)

≈35.5 seconds(to the nearest tenth)
