Once it is swallow it moved to pharynx to the oesophagus and down to the stomach where the stomach acid act on it. From there enzymes from the pancreases act on it to break it down and it is moved down to the small intestine where it is absorbed as nutrients and the undigested one move to the large intestine and form faeces.
