Answer:

The passage talks about how, after the Boston Tea Party, the British King and Parliament sent troops to the US to show colonies they can’t simply rebel against them.

Explanation:

To understand the passage, we must remember that the Bostom tea party was the American protest carried out by the Sons of Liberty against the British Empire and their rulership. The event’s name comes from the fact that protestors have thrown the tea from British East India Company into the sea from the ships at Boston Harbor.

The passage talks about the immediate aftermath of the protest and the reaction of the British Empire. It explains how the British Parliament had to react quickly to this outcry and debacle. Britains’ king, George III was angry and sent the troops. They needed to punish Boston and the protestors to show other colonies that they can’t go against the laws the empire has put on them.

Answer:

resistance

Explanation:

There are three stages of the general adaptation syndrome as described by Hans Selye. The first stage is the alarm stage, the second stage is the resistance stage, and the third stage is the exhaustion stage. In the resistance stage, the body tries to either adapt to or resist the stressor. Hormonal changes from the alarm stage are still present in this stage with high levels of blood pressure and glucose in the blood. However the stress hormones levels are being normalized, allowing the body to shift from alertness to normalization or repair.

Give one example of government regulation and discuss the trade offs associated with it.
gtnhenbr [62]
Governments apply a Minimum Wage policy on Businesses to ensure the employees working for the businesses do not get exploited and get paid fairly. The trade off here is that with the Minimum Wage law in effect the businesses would face an increase in labor costs, since they gotta pay them more than if there was no Minimum Wage law, and businesses would lose out on some profit due to this increase in labor costs. To reduce these costs businesses might let go of some employees, either by firing them or making them redundant (either way the employee is losing the job) and this increases the Unemployment Rate in the country which the government does not like, as one of the government’s aims is to keep the Unemployment Rate low in their country but with their Minimum Wage law in effect they keep the businesses in check to ensure they don’t exploit their workers but they end up increasing the Unemployment Rate due to Businesses trying to retain (get back) some of their lost profit (that they lost due to the government’s Minimum Wage law).
