It unites those who have the same beliefs, everyone who believes in god has one common factor they can all relate to, it divides those who have different faiths though, especially when one religion believes they are the correct ones. I hope this makes sense
religion can divide people if you dont have the same beliefs and it can unite people till somebody says something else other than that religion because people may start to belief what they say and it can divide and unite people because people have their own beliefs
This is a subjective question, but in general, the Founders believed that uneducated people should not be allowed to have a say in the movement of the country, and many people today agree.
