Since they produced inferior quality steel, this is a failure. Therefore, this means that the Chinese government failed to invest in industrialization. 

P.S. Having been to China a few months ago, they don't have backyard furnaces anymore :)

The Chinese government failed to invest in industrialization. This question is meant to reflect the consequences of big Mao’s plans and ambitions towards new society of China. The only thing which China came to after <span>Great Leap is a widespread famine. This happened because Mao wanted to make China a republic with modern communist society instead of previous status of agrarian country.</span>

The US had significantly reduced it's air force as part of it's disarmament program after WWI. Along with it's Air Force, it also slashed it's army and naval forces.

The RAF regiment remained after the war as a regular arm of the service, tasked with securing airfields and providing forward air control personnel to British army and Royal Marine ground forces.

Most French planes did remain in service after WWI. However, orders for new planes had significantly dropped eventually making the French air regiments filled with outdated planes; unfit for the second world war.
