Anjuli performed an experiment to determine the respiration rate of yeast. She determined this by measuring the amount of carbon

dioxide (CO2) that was produced. Then, she created the following graph. mc017-1.jpg Her teacher suggested that she redraw her graph as a line graph. Why should she redraw the graph? A line graph looks better in a scientific report. She was measuring a rate of change. She had graphed the wrong relationship. Her experiment had many different variables.

The right answer is She was measuring a rate of change.

Yeasts use respiration in an aerobic environment (presence of oxygen). This metabolism is used to produce molecules of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a source of energy in the cell. Cellular respiration takes place in 3 main stages: glycolysis, Krebs cycle and the electron transport chain, linked to oxidative phosphorylation.

The balance equation of cellular respiration is:

6 O2 + C6H12O6 ==> 6 H2O + 36 ATP + 6 CO2

The rate of change makes it possible to study, as a percentage, the evolution of the value of a variable over a given period. For that, it is necessary to calculate the absolute variation, that is to say to make the difference between the value of arrival and the starting value, that one divides by the starting value, the whole multiplied by 100.

She was measuring a rate of change is probably the correct answer once the graph is not shown.

A rate of change in this case would refer to the speed at which the respiration is happening over the measured period of time. Graphically, is the slope of a line and that is why is easier to gather conclusions from a line graph instead of any other type.

Did the addition of rooting compound make any difference in the time it took to develop roots? Did it make any difference in the
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

In in vitro plant tissue culture, indolbutyric acid and other auxins are used to initiate root formation in a procedure called micropropagation. The micropropagation of plants is an asexual propagation or propagation technique that is based on the organogenetic potential of plant cells, which consists of cultivating in vitro on appropriate substrates, isolated cells, portions of yolk meristems, vegetative apices at the beginning of their development or microstaquillas. Small samples of plants used are called explants. Auxins such as indolbutyric acid can be used to cause mass formation of undifferentiated cells called corns. Callus formation is often used as a first step in the micropropagation process since, by exposure to certain auxin hormones, callus cells can be induced to form other tissues such as roots.

Indolbutyric acid is often used to promote the rooting of stakes. In a study in Camellia sinensis, the effect of three different auxins, indolbutyric acid, indolacetic acid and 1-naphthalenacetic acid on root formation was measured. According to the authors, indolbutyric acid produced a higher root yield compared to other auxins.9 This effect of indolbutyric acid is consistent with that found in other studies; This hormone is considered the most commonly used auxin for root formation, 10 because it is much more potent than indolacetic acid and other synthetic auxins.7

Jatropha curcas is a species in which there is an improvement in the quality of the rooting of the stakes with the addition of indolbutyric acid in the middle (longer root length, number of roots, percentage of rooted stakes, and dry root weight) , 11 although not always the effect on rooting is statistically significant.

Epstein-Carr virus infections are typically asymptomatic in which of the following groups?a. young adultsb. adultsc. AIDS patien
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

The correct answer is option a. young adult.

Explanation:

Epstein-carr virus infects in the patient or people with weak immune system groups. Epstein-carr virus causes a different type of disease and also said to cause cancer. These viruses are common in childhood or early adults or weakened the immune system by the disease like HIV/aids. In young adults, symptoms are not visible by these viruses.

Thus, the correct answer is option A. young adult.
