Joseph flew home from vacation with a heavy bag. With the first airline he flew, Joseph had to pay $27 to check his bag, plus $2

4 for every kilogram that his bag was over the weight limit. The next flight was with another airline that had the same weight limit. Joseph had to pay $25 per kilogram that his bag was over the weight limit, in addition to the checked bag fee of $16. By coincidence, the fees ended up being the same with both airlines. How far over the weight limit was the bag

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Flight A :

Checked bag fee = $27

Additional fee per overweight limit = $24

Flight B:

Checked bag fee = $16

Additional fee per overweight limit = $25

Since, the total amount paid for the package on both flights are the same ;

Let x = mass of bag above the weight limit.

Hence, Mathematically ;

27 + 24x = 16 + 25x

24x - 25x = 16 - 27

-x = -11

x = 11

Hence. The bag was s 11kg over the weight limit.

Hey there! Since these shows you must find the graph so finally the answers should be

1.The slope of 1/5

2.The slope of DC =2/3

3.The slope of AB= 1/4

4.The slope of DA=7/2

5. B. Yes the quadrilateral has two pairs of of opposites that are perpendicular and all of its interior angles  are right angles.

Hope this helped.

Match the key aspect of a function's graph with its meaning
Aliun [14]

Answer:

y- intercept --> Location on graph where input is zero

f(x) < 0         --> Intervals of the domain where the graph is below the x-axis

x- intercept --> Location on graph where output is zero

f(x) > 0         --> Intervals of the domain where the graph is above the x-axis

Step-by-step explanation:

Y-intercept: The y-intercept is equivalent to the point where x= 0. 'x' is the input variable in an equation, therefore the y-intercept is where the input, or x, is equal to 0.

f(x) <0: Notice the 'lesser than' sign. This means that the value of f(x), or 'y', is less than 0. This means that this area consists of intervals of the domain below the x-axis.

X-intercept: The x-intercept is the location of the graph where y= 0, or the output is equal to 0.

f(x) >0: In this, there is a 'greater than' sign. This means that f(x), or 'y', is greater than 0. Therefore, this consists of intervals of the domain above the x-axis.
