50 PTS. ANSWER ASAP.
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer: When you see weakness in the leaders (magistrates) you have chosen, you should reflect upon your own weaknesses since you chose them. The magistrates try to govern and judge as best they as can according to God’s laws, as well as our own. If the magistrate’s error is clearly out of wickedness, he must be held accountable for his transgressions. However, if it is not clear that his error was due to evil intentions, then the people, who have a covenant with their leaders, need to bear the consequences of the error.

The phrase "for a joke" at the end of the fourth stanza serves to _______________________.A) create some humor in the passage.B)
bija089 [108]

Answer:

The correct answer is option D) show that nature can be harsh and unfeeling.

Explanation:

At the end of the fourth stanza of the poem <em>Sea Lullaby</em> written by <em>Elinor Wylie</em>, the phrase "for a joke" refers to the fact that nature has no regrets for that murdered child. As if it were a joke for her. <em>"She choked him and beat him to death, for a joke." </em>

The sea, in all its greatness dragged him and hit him with its waves.

Another form of insensitivity is when the author says <em>"Now in silence she lingers, Beside him all night, To wash her long fingers, In silvery light.”. </em>

What does the difference in dialect and standard English used by the characters in "trifles" indicate to the audience?
stiks02 [169]
The dialect makes it easier for the audience to picture out the setting of the story. The dialect makes the setting more descriptive and makes the story more vivid and easier to understand. The author also uses symbolism to tell the lessons of Trifles.
