It takes Maria 59 minutes to walk to her friends house 1 2/3miles away. What is her walking pace in mph?

Mathematics
1 answer:
ipn [44]3 years ago
4 0

so you can just find the miles per minute first

1 2/3 ÷ 59

which is about 0.028 miles per minute

then multiply that number by 60 to find mph

1.68 mph is your answer

what is the equation in point-slope form of the line that passes through the point ( -1,,-4) has a slop of a -3
Vesnalui [34]
The answer has to resemble y=Mx+b so to find your y intercept plug in your coordinates into that equation so put your slope in for m and your x intercept in for x and the y intercept in for y so -4= -3(-1)+b now get b alone -1=b so your equation would be y=-3x-1

3. Which describes the steps that can be used to solve this problem?
vodka [1.7K]
C. is your answer!

To find the answer to this problem you must find how many ounces there are total in the first part of the problem...3 glasses and 5 oz. in each one (5*3)=15!

Then the extra two ounces you just add on to 15! 15+2=17 total ounces Brad poured!

Hope this helps! Would love brainliest;)

Round 9118 to the nearest ten
gavmur [86]

(8)=ones place

(1)0=tens place

(1)00=hundreds place

(9)000=thousands place

The "1" beside the 8, is the tenths spot so you would round that part of the number.

Therefore the answer would be:

9120

Create a quadratic expression in standard form
Georgia [21]

Answer:

ax²+bx+c

ax²+bxy+cy²

Step-by-step explanation:

A quadratic expression is one where the maximum degree of the variable or variables ( in case of more than one variable the sum of the degree of the variables in a single term considered) is 2.

For example:

A quadratic expression of a single variable is ax²+bx+c {Where a, b, and c are the arbitrary constants}

A quadratic expression with two variables is ax²+bxy+cy² {Where a, b, and c are the arbitrary constants}

And, a quadratic expression with three variables is ax² +by² +cz² +dxy +eyz +fzx {Where a, b, c, d, e, f are the arbitrary constants} (Answer)

Choose the set that is the possible side lengths of a right triangle.
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Mathematically, for us to have a right triangle, Pythagoras’ theorem must be obeyed

From the theorem, the square of the hypotenuse (longest side) equals the sum of the squares of the two other sides

Let us take a look at the given set of numbers:

2 square is not same as 1 squared + 1 squared

9 squared is not equal to 3 squares + 5 squared

7 squared is not equal to 4 squared + 3 squared

But;

root 2 squared equals 1 squared plus 1 squared and that is our answer
