Answer:

The African lake located at about 13ºN, 14ºE is Lake Chad.

Explanation:

Lake Chad is a large, shallow lake in central Africa. Lake Chad is of great economic importance and supplies water to more than 20 million people in four countries: Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria. More than 90 percent of Chad Lake's water comes from the Charif River, which flows from the south. The greatest depth of the lake is only seven meters and the surface of the lake can vary greatly seasonally. Lake Chad has no outflows, but its water is filtered out in the Soro and Bodele basins in the north. In the lake there are many smaller islands and its shores are bordered by clay banks and swamps. During the rainy season, which lasts from May to September, vegetation spreads over large areas.

In Lake Chad there is an extensive wildlife, including fish, crocodiles, waterfowl and beach birds. The animals are an important source of nutrition for the local population.
