Which statement describes the flow of electricity if a small motor is connected to the gap in the wire and the circuit is closed
Vanyuwa [196]

Answer:

B. The electricity flows and the motor turns on

Explanation:

Think of circuits as a draw bridge. When the draw bridge is up no one can cross over to the other side. When the draw bridge is down everyone can cross over to the other side. Similarly to open and closed circuits, when the circuit is open no electricity can flow. When the circuit is closed electricity can flow.

What is one likely long-term consequence of gang involvement?
Sindrei [870]

I will go with (C) Missed job opportunities.

Let's evaluate why.

If someone is in a gang be it long term or short term, they probably are not well educated. Therefore they're not going to be able to attend college.

Placing their lives at risk by gang involvement will definitely NOT improve their physical health or decrease their risk of injury. It would most likely do the opposite.

If tyrosine becomes a conditionally essential amino acid in the body, which of the following statements is true? a. Tyrosine sho
zlopas [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is A. Tyrosine should be taken in through the diet as the body is unable to produce it.

Explanation:

Tyrosine is an organic chemical compound. It performs important biological tasks as an intracellular transmitter (it can be phosphorylated by protein kinases), and is also a precursor to important hormones and biologically active substances (thyroxine, triiodothyronine, adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine).

It is an endogenous amino acid, which means that the human body and most animals are able to synthesize it provided that there is sufficient supply of phenylalanine, from which tyrosine differs by the presence of one hydroxyl group.

Tyrosine is very important for the proper functioning of the thyroid and pituitary gland. Lack of this amino acid causes hypothyroidism, which can manifest itself in the form of fatigue and exhaustion. Reducing the amount of tyrosine in the body causes a deficiency of norepinephrine and dopamine, which can cause depression.
