Answer:

La monarquía es la forma de gobierno más antigua de la historia de la humanidad. Ésta concentra todo el poder en la figura del rey (poder absoluto unipersonal). Dicho cargo es permanente (vitalicio) y se hereda al primer hijo varón que el rey tenga (primogénito) o el familiar más directo.

Cuando la monarquía gobierna un territorio, se puede denominar ese territorio como reino, imperio o principado. Mientras que quien posee el título de monarca se lo designa como Rey, Emperador, Príncipe, Zar, entre otros títulos.
