16-5(3t-4)=8(-2t+11) How to Solve
Hunter-Best [27]

16 - 5(3t - 4) = 8(-2t + 11)        <em>use distributive property</em>: <em>a(b + c) = ab + ac</em>

16 - (5)(3t) - (5)(-4) = (8)(-2t) + (8)(11)

16 - 15t + 20 = -16t + 88

36 - 15t = -16t + 88      <em>subtract 36 from both sides</em>

-15t = -16t + 52            <em>add 16t to both sides</em>

t = 52

Data Set #1
Harman [31]

Answer:

The data table is attached below.

Step-by-step explanation:

The average of a set of data is the value that is a representative of the entire data set.

The formula to compute averages is:

\bar x=\frac{1}{n}\sum\limits^{n}_{i=1}{x_{i}}

Compute the average for drop 1 as follows:

\bar x_{1}=\frac{1}{3}\times[10+11+9]=10

Compute the average for drop 2 as follows:

\bar x_{2}=\frac{1}{3}\times[29+31+30]=30

Compute the average for drop 3 as follows:

\bar x_{3}=\frac{1}{3}\times[59+58+61]=59.33

Compute the average for drop 4 as follows:

\bar x_{4}=\frac{1}{3}\times[102+100+98]=100

Compute the average for drop 5 as follows:

\bar x_{5}=\frac{1}{3}\times[122+125+127]=124.67

The data table is attached below.

The perimeter of a parallelogram is 72 meters.The width of the parallelogram is four meters less than its length. Find the lengt
Naya [18.7K]
Parallelogram have 4 sides.

Use the distributive property. 2 multiply the last and negative 4 in the parentheses.
2l + 2(l - 4) = 72 m

Combine Like terms
2l + 2l - 8 = 72 m
4l - 8 = 72 m
Get l all by itself by adding 8 to both sides
4l - 8 = 72 m
+8. +8

Divide both sides by 4
4l = 80
4. 4

l= 20

The width of the parallelogram is four meters less than its length.

4 sides
2 length = 20
2 width = 16

I got 16 by subtracting 4 from 20
