I think you would use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve this, as a square cut across diagonally creates two isocele triangles. Since the longest side is 20 m, this value would be imputed into c^2.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2
a^2 + a^2 = 20^2
2a^2 = 400
2a^2/2 = 400/2
a^2 = 200
a = 14.14

Thus, each sides of the playground are 14.14 meters long.

Rectangle with a side length of 11" and a diagonal of 14" what is the perimeter
notka56 [123]

Answer:

10sqrt3+22

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok, let us imagine it as a sort of rectangle split upon its diagonal.

Using that, we can Pythag it out,

11^2+b^2=14^2

121+b^2=196

b^2=75

b=sqrt75

b=5sqrt3

Ok, using this info, we find the perimeter,

5sqrt3+5sqrt3+11+11

10sqrt3+22

The answer is 10sqrt3+22

What is the probability of selecting a red jack from a deck of cards?
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

There's 2 red jacks in a deck and 2 black queens in a deck so you have a total of 4 possible cards out of a 52 total in a deck so that would be 4/52 or 1/13 of the time. Statistically 7.6% of the time you will get a red jack or a black queen.
