Column 3 is labeled c with blank entries. Column 4 is labeled (f, c) with blank entries.
Gale thought that it would be fun to go to the carnival. The carnival cost $15.50 for the first person and $12.00 for each additional person.

Equation: c = 15.5 + 12f

c = cost

f = number of friends

Answer:

51.5 or 51.50

They both will work!

Step-by-step explanation:

Gale thought that it would be fun to go to the carnival. The carnival cost $15.50 for the first person and $12.00 for each additional person.

Equation: c = 15.5 + 12f  So this is the equation which is telling you what you have to and were to input the info you need.

c = cost

f = number of friends

If the input of the equation is 3, what is the output?  This is telling you to put the in place of the F because there are 3 friends.

Now after you have done that your equation should look like this

c = 15.5 + 12(3)

Now the number in the parenthesis is the number you have to times by 12 so if you times 12 by 3 you would get 36 then you would add 36 and 15.5 together which would give you 51.5. 51.5 is the answer to the question! I hope you understand and if you need further help please comments and i should get to you in about a day unless its the weekends! Byeeee!

a culture started with 2000 bacteria after 6 hours it grew to 2400 bacteria how many bacteria will grow after 16 hours
Monica [59]
Started at 2000....after 6 hrs it grew to 2400...that means in 6 hrs, it grew 400.
6/400 = 16/x ....6 hrs to 400 = 16 hrs to x
this is a proportion, so we cross multiply
(6)(x) = (400)(16)
6x = 6400
x = 6400/6
x = 1066.67 <==
