-1.5+1.9 can be rewritten as:
1.9-1.5
because the + and the - make a minus.

Once you have this you can solve it;
1.9-1.5 = 0.4

Hope this helps! :)

What are 2 numbers that round to 264.5 when rounded to the nearest tenth
Diano4ka-milaya [45]
Rounded to the nearest tenth to become 264.5

We can have 264.48  and 264.49.

We simply make the digit after the tenth digit to be 5 or more. So that when it is rounded up it becomes 264.5

You can have more like 264.488,  264.467,  as much as you want to form.

The ratio of boys to girls in a class is 2 to 3. If there are 4 boys in the class, how many girls are there?
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly, we can simplify the ratio of boys to girls to

1

:

2

.

Then, to find out how many students each ratio represents, we add up

1

and

2

to get

3

(

1

+

2

=

3

).

By dividing

3

by the number of students, we can find how many students ONE ratio represents:

24

3

=

8

.

So ONE ratio is equal to

8

boys. Since our simplified ratio of boys to girls is

1

:

2

already, we do not have to do further multiplying - the number of boys is simply

8

.

For the girls, simply multiply

2

by

8

to get

16

.

Check:

8

boys

+

18

girls

=

24

students

Use the following work shown below to answer the following question.
zysi [14]

Answer:

\frac{3 + \sqrt{3x} }{3 - x}

Step-by-step explanation:

You can use the work they gave you and continue from there:

\frac{\sqrt{3}(\sqrt{3}) + \sqrt{3}(\sqrt{x})  }{(\sqrt{3}) ^{2} - (\sqrt{x} )^{2} }

First, simplify the numerator:

\frac{3 + \sqrt{3x} }{(\sqrt{3}) ^{2} - (\sqrt{x}) ^{2} }

Finally, simplify the denominator:

\frac{3 + \sqrt{3x} }{3 - x}

Find the mean absolute deviation for each set of data:
aivan3 [116]

Answer:

1) 1.8

2) 1.7

Step-by-step explanation:

(for part A)

Mean: 3 + 5 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 0 + 0 + 4 + 7 + 4 + 5 + 5 + 6 = 53/15 = 3.5

3.5 - 3 = 0.5

3.5 - 5 = 1.5

3.5 - 6 = 2.5

3.5 - 3 = 0.5

3.5 - 2 = 1.5

3.5 - 2 = 1.5

3.5 - 1 = 2.5

3.5 - 0 = 3.5

3.5 - 0 = 3.5

3.5 - 4 = 0.5

3.5 - 7 = 3.5

3.5 - 4 = 0.5

3.5 - 5 = 1.5

3.5 - 5 = 1.5

3.5 - 6 = 2.5

mean absolute deviation: 0.5 + 1.5 + 2.5 + 0.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 2.5 + 3.5 + 3.5 + 0.5 + 3.5 + 0.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 2.5 = 27.5/15 = 1.8

(part B)

Mean: -3 + -2 + -1  + 0 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 0/7 = 0

0 - (-3) = 3

0 - (-2) = 2

0 - (-1) = 1

0 - 0 = 0

0 - 1 = 1

0 - 2 = 2

0 - 3 = 3

mean absolute deviation: 3 + 2 + 1 + 0 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 12/7 = 1.7
