The acacia tree provides a number of benefits to the Pseudomyrmex ants that llive on or near the trees. The trees provide shelte

r, protein, and nectar. The ants provides several forms of protection. They attack and remove herbivorous insects. They also remove vines that might overgrow the acacia and kill the growing shoots of nearby plants that might become competitors. The relationship between these ants and the acacia trees may best be described as

The correct answer is - mutualistic symbiotic relationship.

The mutualistic symbiotic relationship is a relationship between two or more species, in which they collaborate and have mutual benefit of their collaboration.

In this case, the pseudomyrmex ants and the acacia trees do exactly that, they collaborate for the benefit of both of them. The acacia tress provide shelter, nectar, and protein for the ants, and the ants are protecting the tree from herbivorous insects and parasitic plants. In this way, both of them benefit from each other.

Is usually categorized to a specific area in the state known as a soil series
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

Soil series as established by the National Cooperative Soil Survey of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service are a level of classification in the USDA Soil Taxonomy classification system hierarchy. The actual object of classification is the so-called soil individual, or pedon.[1] Soil series consist of pedons that are grouped together because of their similar pedogenesis, soil chemistry, and physical properties. More specifically, each series consists of pedons having soil horizons that are similar in soil color, soil texture, soil structure, soil pH, consistence, mineral and chemical composition, and arrangement in the soil profile.[2] These result in soils which perform similarly for land use purposes.

A mixture initially contains AA, BB, and CC in the following concentrations: [A][A]A_1 = 0.550 MM , [B][B]B_1 = 1.40 MM , and [C
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

The value of the equilibrium constant KC is 1.244

Explanation:

A mixture initially contains A, B, and C in the following concentrations: [A] = 0.550 M, [B] = 1.40 M, and [C] = 0.600 M. The following reaction occurs and equilibrium is established: A+2B<->C

At equilibrium, [A] = 0.430 M and [C] = 0.720 M. Calculate the value of the equilibrium constant, Kc

Step 1: The balanced equation

A+2B<->C

Step 2: The initial concentrations

[A] = 0.550 M

[B]= 1.40 M

[C] = 0.600 M

Step 3: The concentraions at equilibrium

[A] = 0.550 -X = 0.430 M

[B]= 1.40 -2X M

[C] = 0.600 + X = 0.720 M

X = 0.120 M

[A] = 0.550 - 0.120 = 0.430 M

[B]= 1.40 -2*0.120 =  1.16 M

[C] = 0.600 + 0.120 = 0.720 M

Step 4: Calculate Kc

Kc = [C] / [A][B]²

Kc = 0.720 / (0.430*1.16²)

Kc = 1.244

The value of the equilibrium constant KC is 1.244

Why is a thermos considered a (mostly) closed system? Question 3 options: different types of liquids stay hot thermoses come in
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

Different types of hot or cold items can be stored in a thermos and power cannot enter or exit the system when the thermos lid is tightly closed

Explanation:

Closed systems are those that do not interact or do not exchange energy with the environment that surrounds them, that is why internal temperatures and conditions are maintained.

The human body is an open system, that is, it would be the opposite of the thermos since we constantly exchange energy with the environment through sweating, emission of gases, urine, feces, and the ingestion of food.

Thermoses are systems specially created to maintain a medium, it will be maintained if its lid is hermetically closed to prevent heat leakage or entry in situations of cold fluids.
