The person is assuming you have a mother and not 2 fathers. (Although this question is odd, the teacher could be saying you have 2 mothers, which wouldn't be heteronormative.)
Basically, the fox tricked the bird into dropping the meat. The crow felt the need to prove itself to the fox, therefore losing what it had already achieved. I hope that helps you understand!
