8 (x - 3) + 8 = 5x - 22

First, expand. / Your problem should look like: 8x - 24 + 8 = 5x - 22
Second, simplify 8x - 24 + 8 to 8x - 16. / Your problem should look like: 8x - 16 = 5x - 22
Third, subtract 5x from both sides. / Your problem should look like: 8x - 16 - 5x = -22
Fourth, simplify 8x - 16 - 5x to 3x - 16. / Your problem should look like: 3x - 16 = -22
Fifth, add 16 to both sides. / Your problem should look like: 3x = -22 + 16
Sixth, simplify -22 + 16 to -6. / Your problem should look like: 3x = -6
Seventh, divide both sides by 3. / Your problem should look like: x = - \frac{6}{3}
Eighth, simplify \frac{6}{3} to 2. / Your problem should look like: x = -2

Answer: x = -2

Lubov Fominskaja [6]

length = 8ft
height = 4 in
width = w ft --> u looking for this

convert in to ft for the height:

4 in (1 ft / 12 in) = 1/3 ft

You know that:
1 cubic yard = $ 98
? cubic yard = $58.07

Solve for ? cubic yard:
? cubic yard = 58.07/98 = 0.592551

convert this in cubic feet:
1 yard = 3 feet
0.59255 cubic yard (27 cubic ft/1 cubic yard) = 15.99887755 cubic ft

Now solve for the width:
length x width x height = ? cubic ft.
width = ? cubic ft / (length x height) =15.99887755 cubic ft/[(8ft)(1/3 ft )] = 5.999579082 ft

approx 6 ft

B)When ABCD is drawn to scale, would
never [62]

Hi there there's several ways this could be proven one way us to consider the allied angle theory where two angles formed between parallel lines are supplementary which in this case can be proven by

2(45)+90=180⁰ ✔

or 3(45)+45=180⁰✔

this would not be the case if it wasn't parallel

Consequently, you can also use the alternate angle theory where you essentially extend one of the lines and you'll see two equal alternate angles
