The number of possible seats is an illustration of permutation

There are 1728 possible sitting arrangements

How to determine the number of seats

From the question, we have the following highlights:

 • Chris can only take 1 seat (i.e. the central seat)
 • Jo can take 2 seats (i.e. the seats adjacent the central seat)
 • Alex, Barb and Dave can take 3! number of seats
 • Eddie, Fred, and Gareth can take 3! number of seats on the right of Chris.
 • The remaining 4 adults do not have preference, then they can seat in 4! ways

So, the number of sitting arrangement is:

n = 1 * 2 * 3! * 3! * 4!

Evaluate the product

n = 1728

Hence, there are 1728 possible sitting arrangements

2) Place the compass point at the one of the intersection points. Place the pencil at the other intersection point. This sets the compass with.

3) Draw an arc inside the angle.

4) Move the compass point to the intersection point on the other side of the angle being sure to keep the compass width the same. Draw a second arc inside the angle.

5) Make a point where the 2 arcs intersect the angle. Use a straight edge to draw a ray from the vertex of the angle through the point.

Item 9 Find the annual interest rate. I=$562.50, P=$1500, t=5 yearsI=$562.50, P=$1500, t=5 years The annual interest rate is %.
Anton [14]
Hi there :-)
The formula of the simple interest is
I=prt
your question ask to find r which is interest rate you do that by dividing each side by (pt) to get
R=I÷pt
Now solve to get the interest rate
R=562.5÷(1,500×5)
R=0.075×100 multiply by 100 to get it as percentage
R=7.5%

Hope it helps:-)

Tonya runs 8 kilometers in 60 minutes.At this rate,how long it take her to run 2 kilometers
Setler79 [48]
15 Minutes

You have 8 km in an hour.

Divide all that by two and you'll have 4 km in 30 mins.

Then divide by two again to end up with 2 km in 15 mins.

You could alternatively divide by four from the beginning, but I find this easier.
