Explain how fossils can give information about past environmental conditions. Give at least two examples. Answer using complete
Anna35 [415]
Fossils can give information about past environmental conditions by showing the type of animal they belonged to. If a scientist found a whale fossil in a desert, he/she could assume that the desert was once an ocean as whales only live in oceans. If someone found a fossil of a lizard that inhabited trees, in the middle of the ocean, then he/she could assume that the ocean didn't exist at one point and instead, there might have been a forest in it's place.
Hope this helps!

Answer: Allopatric Speciation

Explanation:

Allopatric speciation occurs when new distinct species are formed due to the separation of a specie into two separate groups. These two groups are kept away from each other.

In allopatric speciation there is no exchange of genes between the two separate groups.

nordsb [41]

Answer:

The idea of using recycle tires at playgrounds is a concern for some scientists because they contain carcinogenic substances.

Explanation:

Recycle tires are in playgrounds as rubber mulch. This one is on the playground's floor to cushion the impact of any falls that kids may have while playing. The problem with this product is that, as they are old tires cut into little pieces, they still have the tires' toxins such as arsenic, benzene, cadmium, mercury, etc. Exposure to these toxins can cause cancer. This is why some scientists are concerned with this material in areas where kids are exposed to it since they are more vulnerable to carcinogens than adults.

Read the questions below. Check all of the nonscientific questions.
shepuryov [24]
A scientific question is one which can be tested using a set of experiments and comparing with a control variable. Out of the given questions, the nonscientific questions are:
"Why do people in my neighborhood have more cats than dogs?"
"How can the position of the stars and planets be used to predict the future?"
Both of these questions can not be answered through the scientific method, so they are nonscientific.
