Well, you can cancel out the b and e, so a/c = f/d.
Then you cancel out a on the left side of the equation by multiplying both sides by 1/a which then gives you c = f/ad.
Hope this helps!
We have 60 gallons of 20% antifreeze.
How much 70% antifreeze do we add to get 60% antifreeze?
We'll make "x" the gallons of 70% we must add.
.20 * 60 + .70 x = .60 * (60 + x)
12 + .70x = 36 + .60x
.10x = 24
x = 240 gallons of 70% antifreeze.

Answer:
x=8, y=4
Look up the 30-60-90 triangle rule
X+3≤ -5+2x
Add 5 to the other side. (the inverse of subtraction, since 5 is negative)
x+8≤2x
Subtract x on both sides.
8≤x <- the answer
I hope this helps!
