Diastole is the ________ phase of the cardiac cycle.
STatiana [176]
Diastole is the relaxation phase of the cardiac cycle. It is the normal rhythmic dilation of the heart's valves. During this time, the valves start to gather blood inside of their chambers. There are two types of diastole that occur in the heart, and they are:

1. Ventricular diastole - this is the period where the ventricles are filling and relaxing.
2. Atrial diastole - the period in which the atria are relaxing.

This is a continuous cycle that occurs in the heart the moment a person is conceived until the person meets his/her death.

A species of fish evolved over thousands of years to have gills that allowed the fish to swim deep in the sea. What’s the effect
hammer [34]

Answer:

genetic modification competitors increase

Explanation:

The fish developed the gills because of genetic modification. Because the fish are now able to swim in deep water, their competitors in shallower water will have less food. Likewise, competition for food among deep-water fish that eat the same types of food will increase.

DaniilM [7]
Once you have stopped for a school bus, do not pass until the driver signals you to proceed, the red lights stop flashing, or the bus starts moving ahead. Whenever a vehicle ahead of you stops to let a pedestrian pass in front of you, you should stay in line and until the vehicle ahead proceeds.
