Tima was a “good, quiet baby” – she was just never a noisy baby. You see that she understands you, she just doesn’t make many so

unds. In talking with her Mom, she says that a lot of the things Tima does (pointing, grunting, having her own "language" that very few understand, etc) is very understood by the family.
Medically, she has full hearing capability.

She has frustration and some temper tantrums that relate to the inability to understand her wants and needs.





In this course, we discussed the 5 steps of Self – Regulation. Describe how you would support Tima using the 5 steps of self- regulation. (5 marks)

I would try to understand what she is going through.

Then I would make sure she is calm and i would talk to her and listen to her

and then i would try to reason with her and try to solve her problem or problems
