Equality Properties

<u>Trigonometry</u>

  • [Right Triangles Only] SOHCAHTOA
  • [Right Triangles Only] cos∅ = adjacent over hypotenuse

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

Angle = 37°

Adjacent Leg = <em>x</em>

Hypotenuse = 10

<u>Step 2: Solve for </u><em><u>x</u></em>

  1. Substitute [Cosine]:                    cos37° = x/10
  2. Isolate <em>x</em>:                                      10cos37° = x
  3. Rewrite:                                       x = 10cos37°
  4. Evaluate:                                     x = 7.98636
  5. Round:                                         x ≈ 8

Product of four in the decreased by 14 times 6 gives 18
fenix001 [56]

I'm guessing we are solving for a unknown variable? This question is hard to understand, if you are not solving for a unknown variable than tell me in the comments and ill fix my answer

(X*4-14)*6=18

If I am correct your answer is 4.25

(4.25x4-14)*6=18

If I did the problem wrong than tell me. To me this question makes no sense so i'm not sure if I did it wrong.

liraira [26]

Answer:

0.0008

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for a hypergeometric probability is

\frac{(_AC_x)(_BC_{n-x})}{_NC_n}

where N is the population, A is the number of objects of type A, B is the number of objects of type B, n is the sample size and x is the number of successes.

In this problem, N is 13.  A is 5, since there are 5 objects drawn, and B is 8, since there are 8 remaining objects.

The sample size, n, is 5, and x is 5:

\frac{(_5C_5)(_8C_0)}{_{13}C_5}\\\\=\frac{1(1)}{1287}=\frac{1}{1287}\approx 0.0008

Ac=22 BC= x+41 and AB = x + 10 find x
Elenna [48]
Draw the figure out and you will find that AB + BC = AC. Given this, put the equations together to form x+41+x+10=22. Solve to get x=-29/2
