ANSWER:

OPTION A i.e. Plants have to store more water for structure and support

__________________________________________________________

The plant has the large vacuole than animal cell because in plant cells the larger central vacuole performs two functions, one is to store water and the other is to give plant structural support. The vacuole provide rigidity and firmness to the plants cell whereas in animal cell rigidity is not required so the vacuole are many and small. The membrane of vacuoles in plants is called tonoplast which is used mainly in regulating the movements of ions around the cell, and isolating materials that might be harmful or a threat to the cell.

Divergent evolution;

Explanation;

 • Divergent evolution is the process of two or more related species becoming more and more dissimilar. In this type of evolution groups of species from the same common ancestor evolve and accumulate differences, resulting in the formation of new species.
 • For example; The red fox and the kit fox. The red fox and the kit fox both have a common ancestor but have gone through the process of divergent evolution. It has adapted to its mixed farmland and forest environment. Its red color helps it to blend in with the trees.
 • The kit fox is sandy in appearance because it lives in the desert. It also has larger ears than the red fox and its larger ears help the fox release excess body heat in the desert.

Photosynthesis is important to living organisms because it is the foundation of most food chains. Photosynthesis is the process in which plants use the energy of Sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into sugar and oxygen. In food chains, plants are producers because they produce their own food so they are the foundation of most food chains. Since plants are the biggest group of organisms that perform photosynthesis, photosynthesis is important to living organisms because it is the foundation of most food chains.
