Answer: Human activities are also directly related to the destructive forces on earth. Due to the continuous emission of carbon by burning up of fossil fuels, there has been increase in the amount of atmospheric carbon. In addition to that, because of the constant emission of toxic gases and chemical from the vehicles and factories, pollution has been significantly increasing day by day, as a result of which the overall temperature has globally increased, thereby leading into the increase in the global warming rate. It is due to which the ice in the polar region melts and the sea level rises.

Also other catastrophic events such as flood, earthquakes, folding and faulting of rocks at the mountains and volcanic eruptions are quite significant, but they occur naturally.

In a thunderstorm 5 miles away, which would you experience first?
IRINA_888 [86]

Answer:

If we are watching the sky, we see the lightning before we hear the thunder. That is because light travels much faster than sound waves. We can estimate the distance of the lightning by counting how many seconds it takes until we hear the thunder. It takes approximately 5 seconds for the sound to travel 1 mile.
