Which sub-atomic particle is positively charged and found in the nucleus?
IrinaK [193]

The proton. There are three main types of subatomic particles.  Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons.  Protons are positively charged and found in the nucleus.   Neutrons are not charged at all, and found in the nucleus, and electrons are negatively charged and found outside the nucleus in regions known as orbitals.

A series RL circuit with L = 3.00 H and a series RC circuit with C = 3.00 F have equal time constants. If the two circuits conta
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

(a) R = 1Ω

(b) τ = 3

Explanation:

The time constants of the given circuits are as follows

\tau_{RL} = \frac{L}{R}\\\tau_{RC} = RC

If the two circuits have equal time constants, then

\frac{L}{R} = RC\\R^2 = \frac{L}{C} = \frac{3}{3} = 1\\R = 1\Omega

Therefore, the time constant in any of the circuits is

\tau = RC = 3

Image of the plate is missing, so i have attached it.

Answer:

A) t = 7.854 mm

B) σ = 26.67 MPa

Explanation:

A) From shearing of rivet, formula for pressure is;

P = τ•A_rivets

Where;

τ is allowable stress

A_rivets is Area of rivet

We are given:

τ = 60 MPa

Diameter; d = 20 mm

A_rivets = πd²/4 = π × 20²/4 = 100π

Thus;

P = 60 × 100π

P = 6000π N

From bearing of plate material, we can calculate pressure as;

P = σ_b•A_b

We are given;

σ_b = 120 MPa

A_b is area of plate = 20t

Where t is the thickness

Thus;

6000π = 120 × 20t

t = 6000π/(120 × 20)

t = 7.854 mm

B) Largest average tensile stress is given by the formula;

σ = P/A

Where A = 110t - 20t

A = 90t

A = 90 × 7.854

Thus;

σ = 6000π/(90 × 7.854)

σ = 26.67 MPa

What does the 2 mean in the formula 5Mg3(PO4)2?
anastassius [24]

Answer: There is two (PO4) in the formula

Explanation:

Just be aware of the difference between numbers to the right and left: 5Mg3 means there are a total of 5 Mg (if 3 is a number in the bottom left) the 3 in (PO4) means there are 3 PO4 but because of the 2 it could mean there are 6.

Depends if the elements are separated
