The Ring of Fire is a roughly 25,000-mile chain of volcanoes and seismically active sites that outline the Pacific Ocean.
Also known as the Circum-Pacific Belt, the Ring of Fire traces the meeting points of many tectonic plates, including the Eurasian, North American, Juan de Fuca, Cocos, Caribbean, Nazca, Antarctic, Indian, Australian, Philippine, and other smaller plates, which all encircle the large Pacific Plate.

What are some factors that should be considered when thinking about Monument removals?
mash [69]

The below statements are what I believe about removing Monuments

- Why are we moving them (AKA taking them down)?

Are we just moving it for room? Why are we moving it? For room, for a building, is that honorable? No, I don't think it is

- Are we really thinking about the monuments use

If were removing a monument that has a significant meaning or remembrance of something, than that's disrespectful and why did we put it up in the first place

- Do the people like it, or not?

This kind of relates to the first answer. Are we just moving it to put in a building or something like that. If the government has decided to remove it, are they thinking about if the people like it?

There are my answers. Best of luck,

5. What is environmental racism? What is one example of environmental racism? Critical Thinking Questions 1. Do you think that N
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

Environmental racism has to do with environmental population of neighborhoods populated by ethnic minority groups and races. Such population include; air pollution, garbage dumps, toxic waste facilities and hazards. An example of environmental racism is the asbestos in used housing and schools located in African American communities.

1) The American culture contributes to environmental racism because of their history with racism and slavery. The environmental policies were made to the disadvantage of minority groups.

2) Food scarcity is still very much a problem and a huge concern especially in poorer countries in Asia, South America and Africa. Increased population in these areas is a concern.

3) A higher population is a burden to resources available to us and therefore people should be concerned. The environment suffers as a result. The rate of pollution increases as human activities cause the destruction of natural protective mechanisms. Such activities include; industrial pollution, deforestation etc

4) Overpopulated countries should control their population growth. Methods such as birth control mechanisms and education would go a long way in helping this. Limiting the growth of an already overpopulated country is beneficial to humans and the environment.

The two videos in this module feature two artists with extraordinary visual memory. But do they exhibit eidetic memory or photog
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

Photographic memory and eidetic memory are synonymous, which means that there is no distinction between them. Both dignify the same thing, so we can say that artists have eidetic memory, better known as photographic memory.

Explanation:

Eidetic and photographic memory are synonymous. This means that these two terms have the same meaning. Both report a person's ability to remember things that they have seen in great detail and come very close to perfection. Although it is impossible to have a perfect photographic memory, many people have an amazing visual memory, like the two artists seen in the video.

These people have a brain that has a much greater capacity (compared to people with common visual memory capacity) to maintain selected memories as long-term memories.
