I'm assuming it's directly proportional so it would be 48ml, but that's a trick question gasses occupy the volume of the container. Hope the container's 48 ml.

On a recent excursion chemistry student extraordinaire, Melvin Blackthorne, found a gold colored coin at a flea market. The vend
ankoles [38]

Explanation:

What is the density of the coin?

Formular for density = Mass / Volume

Mass of coin = 18.82g

Volume occupied = 7.3ml - 5.2ml = 2.1ml

Density = 18.82 / 2.1 = 8.9619g/ml

what is the mass of the iceberg in metric tons (1 metric ton = 1000 kg)?

Density = 0.9I68g/cm^3

Volume = 35,000 m^3 = 3.5e+10cm^3 (Conversion to cm^3)

Mass = Volume * Density = 3.5 * 10^10 * 0.9I68 = 3.2088 * 10^10g

Upon conversion to kg by dividing by 1000

Mass = 3.2088 * 10^7kg

(1 metric ton = 1000 kg)

Mass = 3.2088 * 10^3 metric tonnes

In your own words explain how Archimedes' principle can be used to measure the volume of an irregularly shaped solid.

By definition, all matter has mass and occupy space. Archimedes' principle states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid, whether fully or partially submerged, is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces. And the weight of fluid displaced is the volume of fluid.

So the volume is obtaiined by placing the irregularly shaoed solid and noting the volume of fluif displaced.

what volume of water (d = 1.000g/mL) is about to impact Melinda's head?

Volume of sphere = V = (1 / 6) πd³

Inserting the value of V = 10.7 cm

Volume = 641.43cm³

1. Which statement describes the earliest model of

the atom?
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

A). An atom is an indivisible hard-sphere.

Explanation:

The 'Atomic Theory' of Dalton is characterized as the earliest model(came in 1803) which described the atoms as the indivisible and resistant spheres. He used the example of watermelon to elaborate that the atoms of a specific element share similar characteristics and the atoms of distinct elements differ in their mass as well as their size. Thus, option A is the correct answer.

The procedure for a reaction directs you to use 0.057 mol of the liquid ester, methyl benzoate (M.W. 136.15, d 1.094 g/mL), in y
lesantik [10]

Answer:

7.1 mL

Explanation:

Step 1: Given data

Moles of methyl benzoate (n): 0.057 mol

Molar mass of methyl benzoate (M): 136.15 g/mol

Density of methyl benzoate (ρ): 1.094 g/mL

Step 2: Calculate the mass corresponding to 0.057 moles of methyl benzoate

We will use the following expression.

m = n × M = 0.057 mol × 136.15 g/mol = 7.8 g

Step 3: Calculate the volume corresponding to 7.8 g of methyl benzoate

We will use the density formula.

ρ = m/V

V = m/ρ

V = 7.8 g/1.094 g/mL

V = 7.1 mL
