I went to a restaurant and gave the waitress a $15 tip. If the tip was 20% of the dinner how much was the dinner?
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

Dinner only: $75

Dinner and Tip: $90

Step-by-step explanation:

If the tip was $15, and the tip was 20% of the price of dinner, then dinner was $75.

You can find this out by doing 15/20%, which should give you 75.

If the question requires you to add up the price of dinner and the tip, then the total price would be $90

During a weekend trip, Ashley will drive a 150 miles of the 200 mile road trip, what percent of the total mile age will she driv
madreJ [45]

It is simple, you are converting 150 of 200 into a fraction and reducing it

150/200=15/20

5 goes into 20 4 times

15/20=1/4

1/4=0.75=75%

The number of adults who attend a county fair (measured in hundreds of people) is represented by the function a(d)=−0.3d2+4d+9 ,
Lesechka [4]

Given is the function for number of adults who visit fair at day 'd' after its opening, a(d) = −0.3d² + 4d + 9.

Given is the function for number of children who visit fair at day 'd' after its opening, c(d) = −0.2d² + 5d + 11.

Any function f(d) to find excess of children more than adults can be written as follows :-

f(d) = c(d) - a(d).

⇒ f(d) = (−0.2d² + 5d + 11) - (−0.3d² + 4d + 9)

⇒ f(d) = -0.2d² + 0.3d² + 5d - 4d + 11 - 9

⇒ f(d) = 0.1d² + d + 2
