The answer is A and D

In answer choice A the fractions are 3/6 and 4/6. In the original equation in fractions are 1/2 and 2/3. The equivalent fraction to 1/2 is 3/6 because 1x3=3 and 2x3=6, therefore 3/6 is equivalent. The equivalent fraction to 2/3 is 4/6 because 2x2=4 and 3x3=6, therefore 4/6 is equivalent.

In answer choice D the fractions are 9/18 and 12/18. In the original equation in fractions are 1/2 and 2/3. The equivalent fraction to 1/2 is 9/18 because 1x9=9 and 2x9=18, therefore 9/18 is equivalent. The equivalent fraction to 2/3 is 12/18 because 2x6=12 and 3x6=18, therefore 12/18 is equivalent.

Hope this helps :D

Archy [21]

Answer:

There is sufficient evidence at 0.05 significant level to support company's claim.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have these informations from the question

n = 1400

P^ = 31% = 0.31

Alpha level = 5% = 0.05

Then we come up with the hypothesis

H0: P = 0.28

H1: P>0.28

From here we calculate the test statistic

z = p^ - p/√pq/n

P = 0.28

q = 1-0.28

= 0.72

z = 0.31-0.28/√(0.31*0.72)/1400

= 0.03/√0.0001594

= 0.03/0.012

= 2.5

Then we have a p value = 0.00621

The p value is less than significance level

0.00621<0.05

So the null hypothesis is rejected.

We conclude that There is sufficient evidence at 0.05 significant level to support company's claim.

What are the next 2 terms in the sequence -9,-8,-4, 5, 21, 46,
grin007 [14]

Answer:

-9,-8,-4, 5, 21, 46,95,159

Step-by-step explanation:

We keep adding the square numbers to the previous terms

-9+1^2=-8

-8+2^2=-4

-4+3^2=5

5+4^2=21

21+6^2=46

The next term is 46+7^2=95

The next one is 95+8^2=159

We got this by observing the pattern

Limitation of -4 to the left of the absolute value of x+4 divided by x+4
timama [110]

I believe you're asking about the one-sided limit,

\displaystyle \lim_{x\to-4^-}\frac{|x+4|}{x+4}

Recall the definition of absolute value:

• |x| = x if x\ge0

• |x| = -x if x < 0

Since we're approaching -4 from the left, we're effectively focusing on a domain of x or x+4. So, by the definition above, we have |x+4| = -(x+4). Then in the limit, we have

\displaystyle \lim_{x\to-4^-}\frac{|x+4|}{x+4} = \lim_{x\to-4^-}\frac{-(x+4)}{x+4} = \lim_{x\to-4^-}(-1) = \boxed{-1}
