Solve the formula for a.
P= a + b + c
a =
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

a = P - b - c

General Formulas and Concepts:

  • Order of Operations: BPEMDAS
  • Equality Properties

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define equation

P = a + b + c

Step 2: Solve for a

  1. Subtract b on both sides:                    P - b = a + c
  2. Subtract c on both sides:                     P - b - c = a
  3. Rewrite:                                                 a = P - b - c

Melissa, Juan, and Rafael served a total of 74 orders Monday at the school cafeteria. Rafael served 2 times as many orders as Ju
Sidana [21]
Let's named variables as M,J and R

The equation is M+J+R=74

We will represent M with J => M=J+6 and R=2J

when we replace in the equation we get

J+6+J+2J=74 => 4J=74-6 => 4J=68 => J=68/4 = 17

J=17  => M=6+17 => M=23  and R=2* 17 => R=34

Final answer is
Juan served 17 orders
Melissa served 23 orders and
Rafael served 34 orders

Good luck!!!!

Suppose Angle A is 25° and Angle B is greater than 51° but less than 57°, what are the possible measurements for Angle C?
olchik [2.2K]
The picture in the attached figure

we know that
m∠A+m∠B+m∠C=180°-----> by the sum of the internal angles of the triangle is 180 degrees
m∠A=25°

for m∠B=51°
find ∠C
∠C=180-[25+51]---------> m∠C=104°
for m∠B greater than 51°-------> m∠C must be less than 104°

for m∠B=57°
find m∠C
m∠C=180-[25+57]---------> m∠C=98°
for m∠B less than 57°-------> m∠C must be greater than 98°

therefore
98° < m∠C < 104°

Given that a is the longest side length in the triangle, which of the following inequalities would make the triangle above an ob
LenKa [72]
The equations presented in the choices above are all derived from the Pythagorean theorem. This states that the sum of the squares of the two shorter sides is equal to the square of the longest side which is also referred to as the hypotenuse.

If the sum of the squares of the shorter sides is smaller compared to the square of the hypotenuse then, the triangle is OBTUSE. The answer therefore to this item is letter A.
