• Ok so first for the rectangle:

Use the formula: b•h

50 • 20 = 1000 ft2

• Next, the triangle:

Formula: b•h/2

Add the 10 and 50, which is 60.

60 • 20 = 1200

1200/2 = 600 ft2

• For the circle:

Formula: π • r^2

The radius is 10ft

3.14 • 10^2
3.14 • 100 = 314 (Whole circle)

Since we need half of the circle, we divide by 2 to split them.

314/2 = 157 ft2

• Now add all together:

1000 + 600 + 157 = 1757 ft2

Ian has 20 football cards, and Jason has 44 baseball cards. They agree to trade such that jason
Alina [70]

Answer:

12 trades

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's call 'x' the number of trades they will do.

After each trade, the number of cards Ian has increase by 1 (he gives 1 but receives 2), and the number of cards Jason has decrease by 1 (he receives 1 but gives 2), so after x trades, the number of cards Ian has is 20 + x, and Jason has 44 - x.

To find the number of trades when they will have the same amount of cards, we have that:

20 + x = 44 - x

2x = 24

x = 12 trades
