One number is nine more than another number. If the sum of numbers is 65, find both numbers
forsale [732]

Answer:

The Answer is: The First Number is: 37 and the Second Number is: 28.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let f = first number and s = second number.

f = s + 9

f + s = 65

Substitute:

s + 9 + s = 65

2s = 56

s = 28, the second number.

f = 28 + 9 = 37, the first number.

Proof:

37 + 28 =  65

65 = 65

Then:

37 = 28 + 9

37 = 37

Hope this helps! Have an Awesome Day!! :-)
