Your friend uses the equation c=50p to find the total cost c for the number of people p internal local amusement park create a t
AnnZ [28]

We are given equation c=50p.

c is the total cost and p is the number of people.

Let us take number of people by groups of 10, 20, 30,40 people.

Note: We can take any positive integer for number of people in a group.

Now, we need to plug p=10, 20, 30,40 one by one in given function c=50p to find the costs c.

Plugging p=10, we get

c= 50*10 = 500.

Plugging p=20, we get

c= 50*20 = 1000.

Plugging p=30, we get

c= 50*30 = 1500.

Plugging p=40, we get

c= 50*40 = 2000.

So, we can create a table as.

Number of people (p)           Total cost (c)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

         10                                      500

         20                                     1000

         30                                     1500

         40                                     2000

Solve x 2 - 4x - 7 = 0 by completing the square. What are the solutions?
Bingel [31]

Answer:

x = 2±sqrt(11)

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 -4x - 7 =0

Add 7 to each side

x^2 -4x -7+7 =0+7

x^2 -4x =7

To complete the square take the coefficient of the x term and  divide by 2 and then square it.  Add it to both sides

-4 /2 = -2 then square

(-2)^2 = 4

Add 4 to both sides

x^2 -4x+4 =7+4

x^2 -4x+4 = 11

Factor the left side into (x-b/2)^2

(x-2)^2 =11

Take the square root of each side

sqrt((x-2)^2) =±sqrt(11)

x-2 = ±sqrt(11)

Add to to each side

x-2+2 = 2±sqrt(11)

x = 2±sqrt(11)

An auto transport truck holds 12 cars. A car dealer plans to bring in 1,006 new cars in June and July. If an auto transport truc
marin [14]
To find the number of full trucks we can do 1006 / 12. This gives us 83.8333. That is, 83 full trucks and a bit left over.
The bit left over is the answer to the second part, the last truck. 0.8333 is the same as 10/12, so the last truck will have 10 cars in it. If we didn’t know that fraction, we could find the answer by saying 12x83 = 996. 1006 - 996 = 10.

So the final answer is: 83 full trucks and 10 cars in the last truck.
