Answer:

The decrease is 21%

Step-by-step explanation:

So lets say the Original area is Pi X (Radius^2)

Lets call Radius as R

For the new radius, it would be: R + 0.1R which is 1.1R

The new area is: Pi X 1.1R^2, which going further is 1.21 after squaring 1.1.

The Original area is: Pi X Radius^2

To find the percent decrease, subtract the new area by the original, cross out Pi X Radius squared and you are only left with 21%

I am in middle school so I don't know if it is going to be incorrect, but I ask you to give it a try and tell me if it was right or not. I have barely done this topic but recently I had a bonus homework question on a question almost exactly like this and this is the way I did it and I was correct. Thanks! Hope it helped! :)

In a causal-comparative study, what is the difference between independent variables and dependent variables? independent variabl
AlladinOne [14]

Answer: independent variables cause the effect measured in the dependent variables

Step-by-step explanation: In a causal - comparative study, the dependent variables refers to the variable whose changes is being measured or observed. The changes or alteration of the dependent variable is induced by the different values of the independent variable. In causal - comparative study, the different independent variables is assumed to have a direct impact on the output or values of the dependent variable which is measured by the experimenter. Therefore, the independent variable does not change, but causes the observed changes noticed in the dependent variable.

Where an, an-1,a2, a1, a0 are constants. We call the term containing the highest power of x the leading term, and we call an the leading coefficient. The degree of the polynomial is the power of x in the leading term. We have already seen degree 0, 1, and 2 polynomials which were the constant, linear, and quadratic functions, respectively.
