In pea plants, the allele for the tallness is dominant.what are the possible genotypes of a tall pea plant
mote1985 [20]

Mendel discovered the fundamental laws of inheritance through his work on pea plants. He used around seven plant traits of which, length of the stem was also considered and hybridization between the tall plants (TT) and the dwarf plants (tt) was conducted.

Alleles refers to the alternative forms of a gene. They are the recessive and the dominant alleles. According to Medel's law of dominance, the recessive alleles are masked by the dominant alleles. In pea plants, the allele for tallness is dominant. It expresses itself in both the homozygous dominant condition and the heterozygous dominant condition. Thus, the possible genotypes of a tall pea plant are TT and Tt.

What is an advantage and disadvantage of using 4.5-7.5 pH paper?
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

The correct answer would be:

Advantage: helps in finding the exact ph value with a narrower range.

Disadvantage: You don't know the exact ph value on a regular scale.

Explanation:

The pH paper is a pH paper with a color indicator that helps in determining the pH value precisely between the 4.5 to 7.5 pH range. It is accurate in comparison to other pH papers such as 0-14 paper. One no need to guess the color between the different colors from various color mixtures as it has a more precise color reading that helps in finding accurate pH value in a narrow range.

On a regular scale, it is not as accurate and one can not find the exact value as it provides a narrow range value between 4.5 to 7.5.

Finches that live in an isolated area with limited access to seeds and water is an example of what mechanism in Darwin's theory
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

c. Limits on population growth

Explanation:

Darwin was heavily influenced by Malthusian theory of how population growth was influenced by growth limits. For Darwin, the population growth of species of living beings would be influenced by the limits imposed by the environment in which these species live, through the amounts of natural resources available to the population.

Thus, Darwin concludes that when the environment allowed an abundance of natural resources, such as water and food, the population of living beings would tend to grow more, however, when natural resources are limited, the population would grow less. This is called "population growth limits".

An example of this can be seen in the question above, where finches that live in an isolated area have limited access to seeds and water.
