Answer:

Vf = 39.2 m/s

h = 78.4 m

Explanation:

Using first equation of motion for vertical motion:

Vf = Vi + gt

where,

Vf = Final Velocity = ?

Vi = Initial Velocity = 0 m/s

g = 9.8 m/s²

t = time taken = 4 s

Therefore,

Vf = 0 m/s + (9.8 m/s²)(4 s)

Vf = 39.2 m/s

Now, we use second equation of motion

h = Vi t + (1/2)gt²

where,

h = height covered = ?

Therefore,

h = (0 m/s)(4 s) + (1/2)(9.8 m/s²)(4 s)²

h = 78.4 m

The early earth was much cooler than it is today.

a. True

b. False
Pie
This statement is true. Early earth was much cooler than it is today.

This is because the pollution as well as the population number was very small compared to nowadays population and pollution.
The pollution mainly is causing a decay in the ozone layer which protects the earth from uv rays. Thus, more of these rays enter the atmosphere and increase the temperature.
The increase in population along with the decrease in green areas leads to the increase in the percentage of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which again leads to an increase in the temperature.

How are energy, force, and the motion of objects related?
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

When two objects interact, each one exerts a force on the other that can cause energy to be transferred to or from the object. For example, when energy is transferred to an Earth-object system as an object is raised, the gravitational field energy of the system increases. This energy is released as the object falls; the mechanism of this release is the gravitational force. Likewise, two magnetic and electrically charged objects interacting at a distance exert forces on each other that can transfer energy between the interacting objects.

Explanation:

Even when an object is sitting still, it has energy stored inside that can be turned into kinetic energy (motion). ... A force is a push or pull that causes an object to move, change direction, change speed, or stop. Without a force, an object that is moving will continue to move and an object at rest will remain at rest.
