in order to find the perimeter of a rectangle we need the length and the width of the rectangle. note that we already know the width which is 10cm but we do  not know the value of the length yet . so let us find the width first.

Remember from the question , length is 4 times the width

mathematically,

length = 4 x width

length = 4 x 10

length = 40cm.

now to find the perimeter of the rectangle

the formula for perimeter of a rectangle = 2L + 2W

perimeter of a rectangle= 2 x 40 + 2 x 10

perimeter of a rectangle = 80 + 20

perimeter of a rectangle = 100cm

therefore the perimeter of a rectangle is equal to 100cm
