Can someone please help me with this

So for 1: You divide 1780 by 36 to get your answer. You will get a remainder but in this situation, we ignore it since you wouldn’t be able to wrap another gift completely

2: Divide 247 by 52. Again, you will get a remainder but in this situation we found up to the nearest whole because to be able to take all the kids, you would need another bus.

3: Divide 98 by 28. You will get a remainder, then you take that and divide it by 28, and simplify it, to get the fraction

mart [117]

Answer:

a) 301.59 cubic centimeters

b) 235.87 square centimeters

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

Volume of ice cream cone is volume of hemisphere PLUS volume of cone.

Volume of Hemisphere = \frac{\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3}{2}

radius is given as 4, so,

Volume of Hemisphere = \frac{\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3}{2}\\=\frac{\frac{4}{3}\pi (4)^3}{2}\\=134.04

Now, Volume of Cone = \frac{1}{3}\pi r^2 h

Where radius is 4 and height is 10, so,

Volume of Cone = \frac{1}{3}\pi r^2 h\\=\frac{1}{3}\pi (4)^2 (10)\\=167.55

Volume of Ice Cream Cone = 134.04 + 167.55 = 301.59 cubic centimeters

b)

Surface area of ice cream cone is surface area of hemisphere PLUS surface area of cone.

Surface Area of Hemisphere = 2\pi r^2\\=2\pi (4)^2\\=100.53

Surface Area of Cone = \pi r^2+\pi rl

We dont need to use the first part, \pi r^2  since it is "inside". We  need to find l, slant height, by using pythagorean theorem on a triangle we can make (bottom right).

4^2 + 10^ 2 = l^2

16 + 100 = l^2

116 = l^2

l = 10.77

Now to find the surface area of cone = \pi rl\\=\pi (4)(10.77)\\=135.34

Surface area of ice cream cone = 100.53 + 135.34 = 235.87 square centimeters

If u= <4,5> and v= <0,-1>, find 2v+5u
GaryK [48]

Answer:

<20,23>

Step-by-step explanation:

u= <4,5> and v= <0,-1>

2v = 2*<0,-1> = <0,-2>

5u = 5* <4,5> = <20,25>

2v+5u = <0,-2> + <20,25>

            = <20,23>

Type the correct answer in the box. Write the standard form of the quadratic equation modeled by the points shown in the table b
White raven [17]
Y =ax² + bx +c

1) Point (0,7)

7 = a*0² +b*0 +c
c = 7
y=ax² + bx + 7

2) Point (1,4)
4=a*1² + b*1 + 7, ----> 4 = a +b + 7, ------> a+b= - 3
3) Point (2, 5)
5=a*2² + b*2 + 7, ----> 5=4a+2b +7,---> -2=4a+2b, ----> -1=2a + b

4)  a+b= - 3, ----> b= -3 - a (substitute in the second equation)
    2a+b= -1
2a - 3 - a = -1, ----> a - 3 = -1, a =2

5) a+b= - 3
    2 + b = -3
b = -5

y=2x² - 5x + 7
