Answer:

Physical adaptations do not develop during an individual animal's life, but over many generations. The shape of a bird's beak, the color of a mammal's fur, the thickness or thinness of the fur, the shape of the nose or ears are all examples of physical adaptations which help different animals survive.

Sources of oxygen and how the fish in water gets oxygen<br>
WITCHER [35]

This process requires large volumes of water to pass through absorption surfaces to get enough oxygen into their bodies using their mouths and gills. These body parts work like a pump to keep water moving over the gas absorption surfaces of the gills.

A gene involved in neural development shows three times as many synonymous site substitutions than nonsynonymous ones. A likely
viva [34]

Answer:

e. is under purifying selection

Explanation:

Purifying selection removes deleterious alleles that can arise through

random mutations

.

Mutations  may or may not have consequences at the level of genetic expression depending on whether those mutations are synonymous or nonsynonymous. Synonymous mutations do not generate changes in the protein to be encoded while non-synonymous ones do.

Important genes for the development of the organism - such as those involved in the  neural development- are very likely to be under purifying selection, eliminating individuals with deleterious alleles since those alleles (product of non-synonymous substitutions) do not allow the individuals to survive.

How are the chicken wing and human arm similar, different, and how they are adapted to allow the organism to survive in their en
saw5 [17]
They share similarities in their tissue and cartilage. Both humans and chickens have epithelial tissue, muscle tissue and connective tissues; as well as cartilage to support the joints between bones. The bone structure is similar as well. Both animals have a humerus, which connects the shoulder and radius. Unlike humans, chickens can't move their metacarpals. Chicken bones are also hollow, making them lighter and more built for flight. Our arms are made more for grabbing, lifting and picking things up.
Hope this helps!
