Answer:

To cross multiply, multiply the numerator from one side with the denominator of the other side and put that product on one side of the equation. Do the same with the other numerator/denominator and put that on the other side. From there, solve for the unknown part.

So your ratio might look like this:

4/6=x/12

6x=12(4)

6x=48

x=8

So in this case 4/6 would equal 8/12.

If you have 3 quarters, 5 dimes, and 2 nickels in
slamgirl [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

No. Of quarters n(Q)= 3

No. Of dimes n(D) = 5

No. Of nickels n(N) = 2

Total T = 3+5+2 = 10

Prob(D) = n(D)/T = 5/10 = 1/2

Now there are 9 left since it is not replaced back

Prob(Q) = 3/9 = 1/3

Prob(D and Q) = 1/2 × 1/3 = 1/6

Need help with # 12 for distance/ midpoints formula. And another problem for #1 distance, segment and radicals ? Please help
Alenkinab [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

#12

PQ = 6x + 25

QR = 16 - 3x

PR = 6x + 25 + 16 - 3x

PR = 3x + 41

#1

D = √(-4 - 5)² + (-7 - 2)²

D = √(-9)² + (-9)²

D = √81 + 81

D = √162

D = 9√2
