Answer:

No.

If y is greater than 3, it is not a solution to the system of inequalities. (7,5) has a y value of 5, therefore it is is not a solution.

The height, h, of the equilateral triangle is given by h =5cotΘ, where Θ is 30 degrees. Can someone help me with this? I don't u
Hoochie [10]

You don't even need the picture to solve this one.

You said that      h = 5 cot(Θ) ,    and you said that  Θ  is 30 degrees.
All you need now is to find the cotangent of Θ, plop that into the equation,
and the solution practically jumps off the paper into your lap.

To find the cotangent of 30 degrees, you can use a calculator, look it up
in a book, read it off of a slide rule if you have one, draw a picture of a
30-60-90 right triangle etc. You'll find that the cotangent of 30 degrees
is  √3 .  That's about 1.732 .

So your equation is    h = 5 (1.732)  =  8.66  (rounded)

Apparently, somebody gave you the equation, and asked you to find 'h'.
Once you had the equation, you didn't even need to know that 'h' has
anything to do with a triangle.

Rob needs to mix 4.5 liters of liquid fruit punch concentrate with 0.5
Dmitriy789 [7]
4.5 litres of fruit punch with 0.5 litres of water.
13.5 /4.5 = 3. Multiply 0.5 by 3 to get 1.5 litres of water. Therefore, 13.5 litres of fruit punch concentrate needs 1.5 litres of water. 13.5 + 1.5 = 15 litres of fruit punch in total.

In parallelogram HIJK, the measure of angle H is 45 degrees. 1.Find the measure of J and explain how you know
s2008m [1.1K]

Answer:

45°

Step-by-step explanation:

A parallelogram is a polygon with 4 sides and 4 angles (that is a quadrilateral).

For a parallelogram ABCD, Opposite sides and opposite angles are equal (i.e. BC = AD and ∠A = ∠C).

Consecutive angles are supplementary that is ∠A + ∠B = 180°.

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other also separating the parallelogram into two congruent triangles.

In parallelogram HIJK, ∠H and ∠J are opposite angles. hence:

∠H = ∠J (opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal)

∠J = 45°

Which answer is in slope-intercept form for the given equation? 4x - 9y = -36

Thanks
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

y = 4/9 x + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope intercept form: y = mx = b

So 4x - 9y = -36

9y = 4x+ 36

y = 4/9 x + 4
