Answer:

203 more minutes

We know she swam 154 min in first week.

And in two weeks she swam 357 minutes.

We need to figure out x (total of minutes swam in week two)

So do 357=x+154

Subtract 154 from both sides

x=203

Hope this helps

lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If y=6 and z=3, then plug in the numbers given to the variables.

3/2 times 6, -3 + 5/3 times 3.

6= 6/1, so, you can do the same operation.

3/2 times 6/1. then subtract 3 from that.( you have to simplify them to make equal denominators)

5/3 times 3/1 then add that to your previous answer.

Olivia leaves New York City at 9:00am, traveling to Charlotte, NC, at an average rate of 55 miles per hour. Ben leaves one hour
Pepsi [2]

2.30 PM

Step-by-step explanation:

Olivia has a 1hr head start of Ben. While traveling at 55 mph she will have covered a distance of;

55 * 1 = 55 miles

Then Ben begins to travel at 65 mph which is

65 – 55 = 10 mph

Faster than Olivia.

This means that Ben will be closing in on the 55 miles head-start made by Olivia by 10 mph. To find out after how long Ben will completely close the gap;

55 / 10 = 5.5 hours

0.5 hours in minutes is;

5/10 *60 = 30 minutes

Ben will catch up to Olivia on;

9.00 + 5.30 = 14.30

= 2.30 PM

The length of a rectangular garden is 6 feet less than 3 times its width. The area is 360 square feet. What is the length of the
topjm [15]
Width = w
Length = 3w - 6
Area = 360

Equation Area = wl
w (3w-6) = 360
3w^2- 6w = 360
3w^2 - 6w - 360 = 0
3 (w^2 - 2w - 120)=0
3(w + 10)(w - 12) = 0
w = -10 & 12
l = 3w-6 = 3 (-10)-6= -30 - 6= -36
l = 3w-6 = 3(12) - 6 = 36-6 = 30

Answer: -10 and 12. Yet, since this is a measurement, it must be positive so 12 ft
