Answer:

20 movies ; $70

Step-by-step explanation:

Company 1:

Monthly charge = $40 ; additional = 1.5 per movie

Let number of movies = x ; t = cost

Equation 1:

y = 40 + 1.5x

Company 2:

Monthly charge = $30

Additional = $2 per movie

Equation 2:

y = 30 + 2x

1) for equation 1 = equation 2

40 + 1.5x = 30 + 2x

40 - 30 = 2x - 1.5x

10 = 0.5x

x = 10/0.5

x = 20

Hence, 20 movies

B.)

y = 30 + 2x

y = 30 + 2(20)

y = 30 + 40

y = $70

Answer:

<em>length</em><em> </em><em>of</em><em> </em><em>hypotenuse</em><em> </em><em>=</em><em> </em><em>10</em><em> </em><em>ft</em><em>.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

by pythagorus theorem,

h {}^{2}  = b {}^{2}  + p {}^{2}

( where, h = hypotenuse, b = base , h = height )

so,

=》

c {}^{2}  = 6 {}^{2}  + 8 {}^{2}

=》

c {}^{2}  = 36 + 64

=》

c  {}^{2} { = 100}^{}

=》

c =  \sqrt{100}

=》

c = 10

hence, hypotenuse = the 10 feet.

In a game, the probability that a spinner will land on a 2 is 1/3. How many times would you expect to land on a 2 if you spin th
defon

Answer:

2 times

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability of 1/3 means that the spinner will land on a 2, 1/3 of the time:

We can predict how many times it will land on a 2 by finding 1/3 of 6:

6/3

= 2

So, the spinner will land on a 2, two times
