How do u divide fractions (the way you were taught)?
Aleks [24]
When given two fractions for example 2/3 divided by 3/6
the division sign changes to a multiplication sign and the fraction on the right swaps the numerator and the denominator so 3/6 becomes 6/3

so it will then be 2/3 x 6/3 and you get your answer
thats how you divide fractions

0.6222... is a recurring decimal at the digit '2'

let x = 0.62222....

multiply x by 10 ⇒ 10x = 6.2222.... [we multiply by 10 to leave the recurring digits after decimal point]

multiply x by 100 ⇒ 100x = 62.2222... [we multiply by 100 so that we can again leave the recurring digit after decimal point]

subtract 10x from 100x
100x - 10x = 62.2222... - 6.2222...
90x = 56
x = 56/90
x = 28/45

Which of the following defines inertia?
ziro4ka [17]

Long exlpination short, the answer is A.

Which of the following defines inertia?

A.The tendency of an object with mass to resist a change in its motion.

B.The tendency of mass not to resist any change in its motion.

C.The tendency of a mass-less object to resist a change in its motion.

D.The tendency of objects to speed up or slow down.

E.The tendency of an object with a weight to resist a change in its motion.

If you want to know how I got that answer, continue reading below. Otherwise, hope I helped!!!

---------------------

First, I think it would be wise to take a dictionary or G00GLE the definiton of Inertia. This is what I found when doing a G00GLE search:

The Definition of Inertia:

 • a tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged.
 • a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.
 • the tendency of an object to resist change in its motion

By our definitions we can definetly elliminate choice D.

Choices C and E don't seem to fit either.

I bolded the choices that don't seem to fit the definitions of Inertia.

Looks like I've narrowed it down. This should make it easier.

Choices could be A. or B.

Let's go back to the definition and compare it with the remaining choices.

The Definition of Inertia:

 • a tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged.
 • a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.
 • the tendency of an object to resist change in its motion

Which of the following defines inertia?

A.The tendency of an object with mass to resist a change in its motion.

B.The tendency of mass not to resist any change in its motion.

Hold up!! It looks like the 3rd definition fits one of our choices!!

(I bolded and underlined the two similarites above)

So... The answer should be A by using process of elimination.

Here is a clip of some information on Inertia:

Inertia is the resistance, of any physical object, to any change in its velocity. This includes changes to the object's speed, or direction of motion. Inertia comes from the Latin word, iners, meaning idle, sluggish. (Source: Wiki)

Hope I helped!!!

the interest for 3 years on Rs2400is Rs576 find the interest on Rs 4200 for 2 yrs at the same rate of interest
sdas [7]

Answer:

Solution given:

time [t]=3years

principal [p]=Rs2400

rate[r]=?

simple interest [S.I]=Rs 576

we have

S.I=ptr/100

576=2400*3*r/100

576=72r

r=576/72

r=8%

now

principal [p]=Rs 4200

time[t]=2years

rate[r]=8%

simple interest [S.I]=?

we have

S.I= ptr/100=4200*2*8/100=Rs 672
